More on correlation versus causation

From Chris Anderson's explosive article in Wired:

Correlation supersedes causation, and science can advance even without coherent models, unified theories, or really any mechanistic explanation at all.

I would add that yes, this data is obviously a plus to tell us what we can see, but in order to make predictions we will still need models. Read the whole thing, it's fairly short.
